True. While I do believe scientists are onto something with this evolution thing, and their big bang, and all, I can be as skeptical about some science as I am about religion. “Faith” in any particular scientific theory is not a requesite for skepticism about religion. Of course, the difference is that scientists tend to employ, oh, the scientific method, meaning they formulate hypotheses, then test them, and base them on empirical evidence. Religion just digs up some old book and says “believe it or burn in Hell”, with no other assumption of a burden of proof. As such, I do tend to give more credence to scientists. Furthermore, science is constantly reinventing itself, questioning old assumptions, retesting, formulating new hypotheses and testing them with better tools. Science doesn’t claim to have all the answer, but keeps questioning. This makes far more sense to me.
