Photos from the Blue Lagoon eviction in Brazil, back in 2008. At the moment something very similar is taking place in the area where the Belo Monte hydroelectric dam is being built. The displacement of the indigenous people in the area and the destruction of the local flora and fauna in the name of ‘development’ is nothing short of a cultural genocide.
